The City of Tega Cay is seeking quotations from qualified professional personnel management consulting firms to conduct a Classification and Compensation study for municipal positions. The study shall cover the positions in the areas of Government Administration, Finance, Utilities, Police, Fire, Public Works, Storm Water, Fleet Maintenance and Parks & Recreation. The purpose of the Project is to review the existing classification and compensation plan as well as to ensure that all positions within the City are internally equitable and externally competitive. The City of Tega Cay will receive sealed bid proposals for the construction of Catawba Park until 2 p.m. EST on April 29, 2021.  A pre-bid conference will be conducted on March 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the City Council Chambers located in the lower level of the Glennon Center (15077 Molokai Dr.. Generator Preventive Maintenance Services & Repairs
The City of Tega Cay invites interested and responsible Contractors to e-mail BIDS to provide services in accordance with the requirements of this solicitation and scope of work. An agreement may be established with each responsible bidder whose bid is determined to be responsive and advantageous to The City of Tega Cay.

For purposes of this agreement, “Generator Preventive Maintenance Services and Repairs” is categorized as both routine and emergency maintenance and repair work on generators, in addition to generator rental and setup. This agreement is to be completed in accordance with all terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation.

*** Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Tega Cay will not conduct a formal pre-bid meeting. Likewise, there will not be a public bid opening.

Separate sealed BIDS for the repair and resurfacing of roads for Tega Cay 2020 C-Fund
Project, will be received by the City of Tega Cay at City Hall at 7725 Tega Cay Drive, Tega Cay,
SC 29708 until 2:00 P.M. (Daylight Savings Time) *July 14, 2020 and then at said
office publicly opened and read aloud.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. (Daylight Savings Time)

Consulting Services for Retail Recruitment

The City of Tega Cay is accepting proposals for consulting services for retail recruitment.  Interested and qualified firms are requested to provide a retail development strategy that would maximize the retails and restaurant potential for the City.  The proposed strategy would also provide business retention tools, analytics and customizable reports.  Proposals should be submitted to City Hall at 7725 Tega Cay Dr. Tega Cay, SC 29708, by 4 PM, EST, on May 22, 2020.  Any proposals received after that will not be considered.  In its sole discretion, the City of Tega Cay reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, for any reason it deems necessary.  Any questions regarding the RFP should be submitted electronically to either Jim Stalford, Economic Development Commission Chair, or Ashleigh Arnold, EDC Member no later than 5 PM, EST on May 8, 2020.

Installation of a Generator at City Hall

The City of Tega Cay will be accepting bids for the installation of a generator at City Hall, 7725 Tega Cay Drive, Tega Cay, SC 29708.  The unit shall be a 60 Kw diesel stationary standby generator to be located at the right rear of the building.  The generator shall be installed on a concrete pad with all necessary control panels and transfer switches.  It shall be 120/240 volt, 1 phase 60 Hz unit with a 250 Amp Main breaker that will supply emergency power to City Hall and must be installed based on FEMA guidelines.  For information regarding this project contact Tim Gillette at tgillette@tegacaysc.gov or 803-548-3512.

Windjammer Park Parking lot (Lowest Bid is Snelson Paving, $18,000)

The City of Tega Cay is accepting bids from to pave the gravel parking area at Windjammer Park.  Bids should reflect the following scope of work: grade and compact the existing gravel lot, install 2" of compacted surface course asphalt over approximately 9,760 SF to include a walking 100' x 8' walking path from the parking area to the newly constructed pavilion, and paint pavement markings for standard parking spaces using traffic paint.  Work must be able to begin no sooner than May 11, 2020 and must be completed no later than May 22, 2020.  Please submit bids electronically to Joey Blethen by 1:00pm EST, on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.  For questions, or to view the site prior to submitting bids, to Joey Blethen.

Fully Flush, Self-Cleaning, Bi-Directional Fixture In-Roadway Warning Lighting Systems at Pedestrian Crossings (SCDOT Project)

The City of Tega Cay is considering installing Flush Mounted, Pedestrian Activated In-Roadway Warning Light Systems at three pedestrian crosswalks on Tega Cay Drive.  These intersections are Heron Harbor, Seven Coves and Windjammer. 

Tega Cay Drive is a four (4) lane secondary highway with two-lanes of travel in either direction. The travel lanes are divided by a landscaped median. Two of these intersections have pedestrian refuge zones in the median. All three crossings are marked with signage and pavement markings. The bid should include all installation and materials required for the project. All equipment, including signage, must be approved in the MUTCD Manual and compliant with SCDOT regulations. The City may elect to phase the various crossings in over a two-year period.  Quotes submitted must be valid for a minimum of 120-days. The City will handle any necessary permits with SCDOT or other regulatory agencies.
