The Tega Cay Fire Department is responsible for providing an efficient and effective delivery of fire suppression & prevention, medical, rescue, and life safety emergency services within the City limits and surrounding area through mutual aid agreements.
The Fire Department also strives to improve the quality of life for City residents by providing public education, volunteer opportunities, and ongoing training for firefighters.

The Tega Cay Fire Department operates a fleet of equipment specially designed and equipped to serve our diverse and unique community. Equipment includes:
- 3 Class A Engines
- Pumper/Tanker Truck
- Medium Duty Service Truck
- Heavy Duty Grass Truck
- Ladder Truck
- Command Truck
- Support Truck
- Fire and Rescue/Dive Boat
