The City conducts an annual deer spotlight population survey to support data-driven decisions within our Wildlife Management Program. As part of our ongoing commitment to responsibly manage the white-tailed deer population, survey results are reviewed each year to determine the most appropriate course of action (culling, sterilization or no intervention). City Council then evaluates the necessary budget and resources to ensure the City maintains a healthy, stable, and balanced deer population for our community and ecosystem.
