What should I do to have my commercial property inspected for building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing or gas code compliance?

How do I schedule a commercial building inspection?
Call Development Services at 803.548.3513 x 301 (24/7), and when prompted leave the street address and requested inspection type for your project. Inspections must be called in 24 hours ahead of time, and please be sure all work has been completed before requesting an inspection.

I have scheduled a commercial inspection for today. When should I expect the inspector on the job site?
Commercial inspectors conduct field inspections usually between the weekday hours of 7:30 and 3:00. For your convenience, you may request a morning or afternoon inspection at the time you make the inspection request. Commercial inspections can be conducted outside of these hours and on weekends if valid construction demands dictate.

I have a North Carolina commercial contractors license - can I do work in South Carolina?
No, you have to contact the Dept. of Labor, License and Regulations in Columbia and have your license reciprocated to South Carolina. (803.896.4300) before you will be able to pull a permit.
