What happens if the offender fails to remedy the violation?
Failure to comply with any of the requirements outlined in the Notice of Violation shall subject the offender to a penalty in the discretion of the courts, not to exceed the amount allowable by State law.

What are the procedures for filing a Violation Complaint?
When the department receives a written and signed complaint, the Code Enforcement Officer will investigate within 15 days and take whatever action is warranted. The Officer will then inform the complainant in writing what actions have been or will be taken.

If I receive a Notice of Violation what must I do?
The Notice will outline not only the type of violation but methods for remedying the violation. Remedies can include, but are not limited to, abatement, removal or correction of the violation within a specified time period. The violator also has the ability to file an Administrative Appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals regarding the interpretation and application of the ordinance by the Zoning Administrator.
