In preparation for the severe weather that is projected to impact the area the first part of next week, at Mayor Sheppard's request, City Council has temporarily suspended the permit requirement for the storing of boats on trailers on your property. Beginning this Saturday, September 9th, through next Saturday, September 16th, you will be able to trailer your boat and park it in your driveway at your home to help better protect it from the severe weather if you feel the need to do so. You may not park your trailer on the street. All boats/trailers will need to be removed from your driveway by Sunday, September 17th, unless you obtain a 72-hour permit from the Police Department.
