Residents should be aware and prepared for unfavorable weather throughout the rest of the week. Plan ahead on what to do after possible storms.
If you see a tree in the road, please call the TCPD non-emergency line at (803) 548-0340. If a tree has fallen on your home, please call 911 immediately. If you are experiencing a power outage, please call Duke Energy at (800) 769-3766 if they are your provider or York County Electric at (866) 374-1234 if they are your provider.
Once it is safe, please place all debris on the back of the curb so our Public Works Department can collect it during the week. Please ensure all debris is in compliance with our regulations for Curbside Collection. Those regulations and more information can be found on our website. https://www.tegacaysc.org/912/Public-Works
Please be patient with our crews. We anticipate that Curbside Collection services will take longer than our regular schedule due to possible storms. The collection priority will begin again with areas along Tega Cay Drive to allow major travel to and from Tega Cay. Once Tega Cay Drive is clear of debris, our team will move to secondary roads such as Heron Harbor, Water Trace, Windjammer, Molokai, and other secondary roads.
If you can safely clean your storm drain, please do so to help our Public Works Department. This team will be working this week to collect debris placed for curbside collection and to clean storm drains throughout the City. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
