The York County Material Recovery Facility (MRF) will resume full operation effective November 5.
Items accepted for recycling are:
-Mixed Paper, Chipboard, Cardboard, Magazines, Office Paper
-Steel Cans, Aluminum Cans, Pans and Foil
-Plastic Bottles, Jugs and Jars with lids
Contaminated loads interrupt the operation of the MRF, risk other incoming loads of recycling being diverted to the landfill and are subject to special handling fees. REMINDER: Glass food and beverage bottles, jugs and jars are accepted in designated containers at the 16 Collection & Recycling Centers (closest one to Tega Cay is in Baxter Village).
