On January 2nd, 2018, at a Special Meeting of City Council, current Mayor Pro Tem David O’Neal will be sworn in as Mayor of the City of Tega Cay. Because his term on Council has not yet expired, Mr. O’Neal submitted a letter of resignation of his current seat on Council effective immediately prior to him being sworn in as Mayor. A Special Election will be held on March 20th, 2018, to fill his seat on Council. Candidate filings for this election have closed.
