In your last utility bill, you may have noticed information regarding backflow prevention. If you DO NOT have an irrigation system, please disregard. For every resident who does have an irrigation system connected to the City's water system, there is a DHEC regulation requiring you to:
A) Have a backflow prevention device installed on your system (likely performed when it was installed), and
B) Have this device checked annually.
To make it as easy as possible on you, we have provided information on our website pertaining to backflow prevention policies, companies who perform these types of inspections, as well as the backflow prevention inspection form you must fill out and return to the City by June 1 (Mail to: 7725 Tega Cay Drive, Tega Cay, SC 29708).

Again, for all irrigation system owners, you must have your backflow prevention device inspected and form returned to City Hall by June 1. If you have questions or concerns, please call the Utility Department at (803) 548-3514.
