The Tega Cay Police Department works proactively in trying to prevent its citizens from becoming victims of a crime. Could Have Been a Victim is a simple program where officers see a situation where a resident unknowingly may have left themselves open to becoming a victim of a crime. For example, if an officer sees an open garage with no one around, or valuables in plain site, they will leave a kind reminder to be careful and stay aware of surroundings to help prevent crime.
