REFLECTING HER STORY works by Vivianne Carey, Caroline Rust, and Noor ul ain Zaib

Friday, September 13, 2019

Reflecting Her Story, works by Vivianne Carey, Caroline Rust, and Noor ul ain Zaib opens in the Dalton Gallery at the Center for the Arts, 121 East Main Street, Rock Hill, SC, on Friday, September 13, 2019. This exhibition runs through Sunday, October 27, with a free, public reception on Thursday, October 10 from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Reflecting Her Story presents a visual depiction of womanhood through the investigation of the female sense of self, identity, and physical appearance. Each artist blends introspective components to expose a woman's moments of extreme vulnerability, challenge her sense of empowerment, and contemplate situations she faces. In a collaborative exhibition, Vivianne Carey, Caroline Rust, and Noor ul ain Zaib highlight a selection of artworks they each have created over the last few years. This body of work for exhibition is important as it is a visual depiction mirroring the intricacies of being a woman.
