The 1980’s, the most colorful decade in history, gave us many things we’ll never forget and unfortunately can never be unseen. One particular year, 1982, marked one of the most interesting years of the decade …
  • The Computer was named Time Magazine’s Machine of the Year
  • E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial debuted in theaters
  • Survivor introduced us to Rocky III’s “Eye of the Tiger” and
  • Most importantly, our fabulous city of Tega Cay was born
1982 TC Forever
Over the past 35 years, Tega Cay has experienced tremendous growth while working to maintain the resort-style charm upon which the city was built.  In celebration of our birth and keeping with the tradition of planned growth, we are excited to announce the next phase of Catawba Park - Tega Cay’s next big step in enhancing our lifestyle and further strengthening the bonds of our community. Catawba Park is envisioned to be the preeminent recreational destination for individuals of all ages.  To kick start our fundraising efforts and drive awareness for Catawba Park, we are starting the 1982 fundraising campaign.

How can you participate in the 1982 Fundraiser?

1.  Donate: We are now accepting donations in the amount of $19.82 (yes, the same year we were founded).  As a  donor, your name will be featured on our 1982 donors’ page, mentioned in Tega Cay social media and Tega Cay  Rewind Newsletter. To donate please click here or stop by City Hall/Beach and Swim Center.

2.  Spread the Word: Proudly display the 1982 “Destination Tags” on your cars, boats and golf cars to help drum  up excitement about the 1982 campaign and jumpstart our Catawba Park fundraising efforts.
