Tega Cay's 36th Anniversary Celebration

Make plans to join us on July 4th for a day full of fun activities and help us celebrate Tega Cay's 36th Anniversary! 

We’ll kick off the day with our annual Land Parade, starting at 9:00 AM.  After the parade, catch one of the trolleys (pick up at Glennon Center, Runde Park, Tega Cay Elementary School) and head down to Windjammer for the Paddle Boat Joust and Log Rolling at 11:00. The Boat Parade will depart from Nivens Creek at 11, and make its way around the peninsula, landing at Windjammer at 12:30. Hang out at Windjammer for the 1:00 Carolina Show Ski Team's Performance.  After Windjammer head up to the Glennon Center for the Splish-n-Splash at 3:00.  The evening will feature the Tega Cay Lions  annual Fish Fry from 4:30-7:30.  During the Fish Fry (6:30) enjoy some birthday cake at the City's Birthday Party and Mayor O'Neal's State of the City.  The action packed day ends at 9:30 under the stars enjoying the fireworks.

Red, White & Blue Golf Tournament
Don't miss out on our Annual Red, White & Blue Golf Tournament. The tournament is put on by the Tega Cay Men's Golf Association and the format is 4-person Captain's Choice (Ladies you're encouraged to sign up too!). Land Parade
The annual land parade will be held on Wednesday, July 4th, beginning at 9:00 AM.  Parade line up begins at 7:30 AM.  This year we will have Lucas McFadden from CN2 and WRHI MC'ing the parade.

CALLING ALL GOLF CARTS!  This year Tega Cay is embracing our golf cart culture and making this year's parade golf cart centric.  We want your most creative golf carts for this year's parade as Carolina Golf Cars will be providing prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

1st Place: Bazooka Tube Party Bar Stereo System w/ Installation
2nd Place: $100 Gift Certificate to Carolina Golf Cars
3rd Place: $50 Gift Certificate to Carolina Golf Cars

Floats & Group Entries: All floats, neighborhood groups, community groups, business entries, moving vehicles and group of walkers are required to register to participate in our parade and to be assigned a staging location.

Grand Prize: Weekend Pontoon Boat Rental from Tega Cay Marina & $150
Runner Up: Weekday Pontoon Boat Rental from Tega Cay Marina

Windjammer Party
Come join us at Windjammer from 11:00-1:00 PM as you can try out our newest summer activity LOG ROLLING for FREE presented by Trident Log Rolling.  After embarrassing yourself trying to stay on a log or participating in the Paddle Boat Joust we have our annual Ski Show presented by the Carolina Show Ski Team begins at 1:00 p.m. Maki Taco will also be at Windjammer so bring your blanket or chairs, some cash and your appetite and sit back and enjoy the show.

Boat Parade
Join the fun by decorating your boat and showing off your pride in the unique annual pastime. Parade your boat around Tega Cay’s peninsula from Nivens Creek to Windjammer Park. The parade will begin at 11:00 AM and follow the shoreline of the Tega Cay where spectators will be present at every turn (Boat Parade Viewing Map). Tega Cay Veterans Association will judge the boats and prizes will be awarded at the end, when the boats round the tip of Windjammer at 12:30 PM.

2nd Place: 2019 Beach & Swim Center Membership 
3rd Place: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner in Tega Cay (Gift Cards to the Famous Toastery,  Tega Cay Deli and SC Shore Club)

Splish-n-Splash Summer Bash
Enjoy an afternoon at the Tega Cay Golf Pavilion Area free water slides, snow cones (while supplies last), face painting and tunes from DJ Tim Brown. Don't miss this wet and wild event from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Make sure your kids wear their swim suits and towels.  Bring your neighbors and friends.  

Lion's Club Fish Fry & Citizen of the Year

The Lions Club will host their annual fish fry at the Glennon Center from 4:30-7:30 PM.  Take-out is available.  Menu: Choice of Flounder or Chicken Tenders along with Hush Puppies, Cole Slaw, Baked Beans, Potato Salad and Ice Tea.  Tickets may be purchased online.  During the Fish Fry the Lion's will be announcing this year's Citizen of the year.  This year's nominees are Elizabeth Duda, Michelle McGuire, Carmen Miller, Cliff Nichols and George Sheppard.  


The day’s festivities will wrap up with the spectacular Tega Cay fireworks display beginning at 9:30 p.m. (schedule subject to change in the event of inclement weather). Bring a blanket or chairs to the lawn at the Glennon Center to enjoy the show.  

Free Trolley Service 

Parking will be available at Tega Cay Elementary School, Runde Park and the Glennon Center where free trolley service will begin following the completion of the land parade. The last trolley will leave Windjammer for drop-off at approximately 3:30 p.m. There will be NO parking at Windjammer Park for cars or golf carts.

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all, no pets or BYOB are permitted at any of the day's events.
