| The City is current seeking a City Planner. This person, under limited supervision, exercises responsibilities for Planning & Zoning administration, and works with City staff and Elected Officials in managing development regulations; zoning ordinances and variances, comprehensive planning and land use. This person also serves as the staff liaison to the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning and Appeals, and various Architectural Review Committees. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in planning or related field, and at least three years of planning experience. Also required is the ability to operate computer software programs, such as, word processing, spreadsheets, GIS, presentation and permitting. Membership in AICP is highly desirable. Person must be able to communicate and work effectively with citizens, Public Officials, and staff members, and must possess excellent citizen service skills. Position will be open until a suitable candidate can be found. |
