Improperly or Illegally connecting to the Storm Water system is considered
an illicit discharge into the system. This also includes dumping anything
that is not storm water into a storm drain or connecting grey water
discharge to the storm water infrastructure. This could introduce
pollutants into the storm water and or overload the system. A permit is
required to connect to the City’s storm water system. This would include
the connection of down spouts and subsurface drains to the system or the
relocation of part of the system for construction purposes. If you know of
an illegal connection or are planning to connect to the system please
contact the Tega Cay Storm Water Department.
